    The Office of the Chief Financial Officer has received numerous awards. Judith M. Marte received The Council of Great City Schools (CGCS) Bill Wise Award for distinguished service to urban education in 2016. Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Financial Division in 2008, was the first district in the nation to receive the CGCS Award for Excellence in Financial Management. BCPS has received the Distinguished Budget Award and Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association for 20 consecutive years. In addition, BCPS has received the Meritorious Budget Award for 20 consecutive years from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) and was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by ASBO for 33 consecutive years.
