Principal's Message

  • Students

Welcome to another great year at Indian Trace Elementary, home of awesome students, parents, and staff! The teachers have already begun working diligently preparing their classrooms and curriculum for the students. The office staff has been registering many new, eager children. The custodians are working hard waxing and cleaning. Mrs. Browne and I couldn’t be prouder of our dedicated staff and are honored to be leading our team into another school year. We are ready to begin and anticipate a fantastic year!

In keeping with the tradition of the school, we will have a school-wide theme. This year’s theme is United We Stand. Our focus will be on project based learning centering around social studies and science and understanding Our Place In The World. We will guide our students to apply their knowledge and skills to real world settings as we coach them toward mastery of the Florida Standards. We will utilize technology and engage students in 21st century learning as we implement the curriculum, to ensure that every one of our students becomes college and career ready.

Indian Trace is so fortunate to have a supportive PTA. I urge all parents to get involved by joining and becoming active members. We thank PTA and the School Advisory Forum for their assistance and look forward to working with them once again. These organizations truly represent you, the parents, so please get involved. Each year, PTA helps us to purchase many resources for our school including technology and hands on materials that enhance the curriculum. The success of our school is made possible by the commitment of these organizations and the support they provide to our staff and our school.

I am confident that with your cooperation, we will continue to provide a quality program that will be enriching, motivational, and challenging for our students. It is through open communication that we can truly work together toward our common goal… happy, confident, successful children.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school. My door is always open to you and your children. I look forward to working with you this year and sharing in your child’s success.

    Sincerely,
