Cambridge International Program

  • Greetings Parents and Students,

Last year, Tequesta Trace Middle School began Phase I of integrating the Cambridge International Examinations Program.  The mission of the Cambridge International Program is to deliver world-class international education through the provision of high-quality curricula, assessments and services. In conjunction with the Cambridge Program, Tequesta Trace aims to develop Cambridge learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, engaged, and equipped for success in the fast-changing modern world.  Being a Cambridge School confirms our commitment to excellence in education as we become part of the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, and share in their educational values. Cambridge credentials open doors for Cambridge learners, create a passport to success, and secure acclaim from leading universities and employers around the world as evidence of academic excellence.

This year, we introduced Phase II as our previous 7th grade Cambridge class moved to 8th grade and we selected 44 students to compose our two 7th grade Cambridge classes.  Next year, we will expand the Cambridge Program to all grade levels, 6th, 7th and 8th.  In completing this vision, we will be selecting 44 current 6th grade students to comprise the 7th grade class for next year and we will be selecting 44 current 5thgrade students for our 6th grade Cambridge classes for the 2016-2017 school year.  At the middle school level, students will develop and heighten their skills to transition into a high school Cambridge Program if they desire.  Student’s exposure to this enhanced curriculum and international standards will provide a stellar academic foundation that will resonate throughout their educational career.

Please take some time to review the program requirements and application process for your child to apply to become a student in the Cambridge International Program at Tequesta Trace Middle School. If you have any questions, please contact Cedric Maddox at 754-323-4400 or at cedric.maddox@browardschools.com.

I look forward to hearing from you and your child and wish you both successes in this endeavor.
