The Department of World Languages at Stranahan High School aims to foment competence and knowledge in Spanish and French conducive to assisting our students communicate and relate with other cultures, either in their own communities in Florida or out of the United States. Courses offered in our department are Spanish 1, 2, 3 (Honors), 4 (Honors-Pre/AP), Spanish Speakers 1, 2, 3 (Honors-Pre/AP), Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture, Advanced Placement Spanish Literature and Culture, French 1, 2, 3 (Honors), 4 (Honors-Pre/AP), and Advanced Placement French Language and Culture. Next year we will be offering two new courses: “Hospitality Immersion and Tourism” in connection with the Culinary Arts Program, and “Latinos in Action”. We also sponsor "El Club de Español" and the "Guitar Club".
