In honor of Earth Week, Beachside Montessori Village and South Broward High School hosted twenty-eight students from Zambia, Botswana and Lebanon to collaborate on environmental initiatives.

Working to restore our marine habitat by planting sea oats and pulling the invasive Hawaiian scaevola dune plant was the focus of our collaboration. The Youth Environmental Alliance, Reclaim Our Coast and Broward County partnered to facilitate the initiative. Margaritaville graciously hosted the entire group for lunch.

This was truly a unique opportunity for our children to act as global environmental ambassadors, taking ownership and action for our planet together with their brothers and sisters from around the world.
